Misinformation and jokes make up a large percentage of the tweets about the very deadly and dangerous corona virus spreading around the world.

This morning as I drove my sons to school I reminded them that if they didn't wear their surgical masks at school I would pull them out of school.
One of my boys advised me that all the other boys in his class in grade 6 were joking about the Coronavirus.

No doubt these jokes originated on the social media that they spend most of their time these days such as Facebook YouTube etc.
I instantly asked my son "do you think it's a laughing matter that there are 2,000 people infected worldwide and there may be 30 million infected in 30 days at the current rate?"
"Do you think it's a laughing matter that there are 2,000 people infected worldwide and there may be 30 million infected and 15 Million die in 30 days at the current rate?"
One of them was a child that died yesterday?
I continued to say "Do you think it's a laughing matter that Chinese around the world are scorned everywhere as people to avoid coming into contact ?
I asked do you think it's a laughing matter that most Asian countries are suffering a severe downturn in tourist arrivals with companies in Bali going bankrupt due to major cancellations for the Chinese Year?
As I slowly talked to him he shrunk into his chair and realized that these children were wrong and that he should not participate in these jokes.
As I told my sons this is the worst epidemic in 100 years.
"Worst epidemic in 100 yearIns."
Unless they get this under control shortly there could be as many as 15 million dead in 30 days.
Yesterday I was proud of my 15-year-old son who informed me that without me asking him he wore a mask for the entire day.
I was a little upset when the ignorant school nurse advised him to wear his surgical mask with the blue on the inside. I double-checked twice to make sure that I was right that the blue is to be worn on the outside not the inside as she recommended.

No, There Is Only ONE WAY To Wear A Surgical Mask

Surgical masks are coloured on ONE SIDE to make it easy for medical staff to figure out which side FACES OUT.
Whether they are coloured blue, green or pink, the COLOURED SIDE is meant to face OUTWARDS.
How To Wear A Surgical Mask - The Hoax & The Truth!
If the mask you are using has no colour, then it is NOT a 3-ply surgical mask – just a simple 2-ply face mask that is meant to maintain hygiene in a clean room or kitchen.
This is an example of the ignorance surrounding how to protect yourself against the coronavirus. For the record you put the blue on the outside.
Since the outbreak, I've been seeking the best information hourly
One of the best sources of information I found to date is this website below which relies on a lot of talented and experienced journalistic input to produce the latest reported cases.
Best News Sources on Coronavirus:
I emphasize the word "reported" because I believe the real numbers may be as much as 1000% more than what is reported. I hope I'm wrong.
In the meantime, I still feel comfortable sending my children to school providing they wear masks. Although a doctor died in China wearing a mask because he caught it through his eyes.
If this continues to grow at the same rate of 41% per day I will be pulling my children out of school because there are many transient students from many areas of Asia plus teachers who are either from Asian areas and or transiting through Asian areas.
As I said to my sons before they got out of the car today "Think about it this way this may be over prevention but at least you won't be infected by the traditional seasonal flues that you always come back with from class every year"
I also said to him, "the students that are laughing at you now for wearing a mask may respect you in the future when they realize that everyone will be wearing masks and you were smart to be the first"
And those that laugh at this disease may receive bad karma. I wouldn't be surprised if they are the first ones to become infected. Mother Nature has a way of taking care of those who violate nature's rules of being sympathetic, understanding, and caring for your fellow humans suffering sickness, disease or death.

BNO News is an international news agency headquartered in Tilburg, the Netherlands. It provides news wire services to companies.

The company was founded by Michael van Poppel of the Netherlands in May 2007, and the company was mainly based on the Twitter social networking site until December 2009 when it announced plans to launch a subscription-based news wire service to media organizations.

The company also announced it would end its Twitter-based news service and transfer the management of the account to MSNBC.com as of December 1, 2009. It had nearly 1.5 million followers on its last day, making it one of the most popular news services on Twitter at that time. The Twitter service was maintained by a number of journalists from the Netherlands, Ireland, Mexico, and the United States.

The subscription-based news wire service was launched in late January 2010 and provides news coverage to MSNBC.com, Thaindian News, W. R. Berkley and other companies. A Mauritian-based news website, Island Crisis News, announced on May 31, 2010 that it has also become a client of BNO News and is the company's first client from Africa.[1]

The company said it is in talks with other publishers and media distributors.

On September 7, 2007, BNO News reportedly obtained an unpublished videotape featuring Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, which was later sold to the Reuters news agency.[2]
