So sad to wake up this morning in Bali and see that our neighbours to the south are enduring catastrophic fires during one of the driest droughts in history.
As these deadly fires approach Sydney we hope that they are able to control them to avoid loss of homes and lives.
This is further proof that climate change is taking place around the world and idiots like Trump that deny it are only caring about his buddy's corporate interests.
His decision to drop out of the Paris Climate Accord is probably one of the worst decisions a President has made this century.
In the meantime, we are so fortunate that we live in Bali and although it is the end of our dry season we have no fires and still lots of water to fill our wells and to water plants.
One decision many Australians, especially baby boomers may want to make is to move out of Australia to Bali and greener pastures.

Australia has issued a “catastrophic" fire warning across Sydney, the country's largest city, as firefighters battle a rapidly worsening bushfire crisis.
Fires have killed three people and destroyed more than 150 homes since Friday. There were still more than 80 fires burning across New South Wales on Sunday, despite the efforts of more than 1,300 firefighters supported by 70 fire-fighting planes.
The New South Wales Rural Fire Service (RFS) said Greater Sydney, the Hunter, Blue Mountains and Central Coast should brace for "catastrophic" fire conditions in the coming days.
It is the first time Greater Sydney has received this level of warning since the ratings system was introduced a decade ago.
The RFS and the Bureau of Meteorology warned that while Monday may see an easing in weather conditions, the forecast for Tuesday is dire.
The RFS said that “large areas” of New South Wales are “expected to see severe or extreme fire danger”.

“We are entering an extremely dangerous period of fire danger across NSW - because of the large amount of fires already burning, and increased fire danger ratings. Know the fire danger and what you will do, especially if you're in an area of catastrophic fire danger,” it said in a statement.
The RFS advised people in areas at risk to head to larger towns, shopping centres or facilities away from bushland areas.
Schools in high risk areas will also be closed on Monday and Tuesday and a statewide total fire ban is in place.
In a media conference RFS Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said: "Indications are that the weather conditions will be worse than what we experienced (on Friday)... Not only will they be worse, they will be concentrated much further than just the north-eastern area of NSW."
Mr Fitzsimmons said 1,300 firefighters from across Australia and New Zealand are fighting the fires, and authorities have been in contact with colleagues from Canada and the United States for possible help in light the forecast for Tuesday.
The RFS has also been in discussions with the Australian Defence Force.
On Sunday, two firefighters were seriously injured by a falling tree. Fire and Rescue NSW commissioner Paul Baxter said in a statement that firefighters from Nambucca Heads had been fighting a fire on Kian Road for almost five hours when a falling tree hit one of their fire trucks. Both are in hospital in a stable condition.
The RFS urged people in those areas to “avoid bush fire prone areas”.
“This may mean moving to large towns or cities, or community facilities like shopping centres. Homes are not designed to withstand fire under these conditions,” it said.
Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, and the New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian visited fire devastated communities on Sunday.

Mr Morrison, whose government has downplayed the threat of climate change, was also heckled about the issue at a fire command centre in nearby Wauchope.
"Climate change is real, can't you see," the Australian newspaper reported a man as yelling before he was escorted out of the building.
