An Australian father-of-three has died of a heart attack while surfing in Bali.
Gold Coast man Steve Smithers had been visiting the Indonesian island before the tragic incident happened on Thursday.
Devastated friends described Mr. Smithers as fit and healthy and were at a loss to understand how this could have happened, Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

'He was supposedly surfing and he's had a monstrous heart attack, but I don't have all the details yet,' friend Rod Lambert said.
'He's a big fit lad, strong and tall, he's about 6'3 6'4 and he's always kept himself in good order with boxing and surfing.'
'I've known Steve for years and he's a great bloke, salt of the earth.'
Mr. Smithers leaves behind his loving wife Lizzie and three children.
He had owned a truck dealership in the Gold Coast.
According to his Facebook profile he was happily living a 'semi-retired' life.
'Having a great time with my family and loving life. It’s too short not to,' his profile read.
His wife's Facebook profile picture shows the pair smiling broadly at the camera as they enjoy a day out.
