Canadians that live and are visiting Bali had a beautiful magical Canadian Thanksgiving last night.
And while West Coast Canadians are probably enjoying their Turkey or Salmon
Canadians living in Bali do things differently.
This 22 Year Canadian Resident invited a large family that was staying in our second estate as a home exchange who lives in Kelowna British Columbia to a Bali Thanksgiving dinner last night.
Two Years ago Lawrence's family enjoyed their big beautiful home in Kelowna British Columbia next to the famous ski resort Big White.
It was there that Lawrence's two boys learned how to ski and make a snowman.
With the absence of snow in Bali we used our beautiful beachfront resort for Thanksgiving.
We took photos in the early morning of some recent water lilies that just bloomed.
Later in the day our first Canadian guests started to arrive and a few later after fighting traffic on the East Coast of Bali.
Finally we all assembled for a group picture.
Brodie and from Kelowna were joined by her sister and both sisters had their children.

Wife Azizah spent several days shopping for such a large group.

Then the children enjoyed what they called "a real meal".

Large chicken thighs and fresh snapper caught that morning were barbecued to perfection.
Later they had some traditional chocolate ice cream for dessert.
The finale of the night was a large bonfire that our young son Darius had been gathering wood for all week long.
It was quite a fire and he was very proud.

Everyone including the kids and adults enjoyed roasting marshmallows on the magical beach fire.
Even a few Balinese spirits showed up for the event.
In fact, the moon was not a normal moon according to my trusty Balinese assistant Gusti as it was the fourth one of the Balinese Calendar year which evidently is the most powerful and the best time to pray to the God's.
Right now my wife is receiving a professional massage upstairs and I am to follow for one hour at only $7.00.
